Great advice, Ann, to pause and reflect on how we’re moving toward our goals. It’s not enough just to define a goal so we’ll know when we reach it. We need to monitor our progress along the way. For me, a typical weekend day is busier than a typical Mon – Thurs, so rather than pausing on Friday, I’ll seize a few moments anytime. A good time for reflecting over here is usually first thing every morning, as I update my to-do list for the next few days.

HOW did I miss the radio show?!!? I think I am happier on Fridays too…for many of the same reasons. Its also a day to reflect and plan for whats coming…and next week. This week I’ve been meeting many new people on twitter using ebms and by talking about my passion…and found out about (and offered help) a new start up non-profit, Sara Start Fund, via @ElleExplains that will help foster youth interns on Capitol Hill begin their professional life….right in my backyard…all from engaging online! Love it:) btw, pretty awesome first video…so cool, calm & collected…lol! Thanks for sharing:)

Advice from 2 years ago still relevant (my word of the week) today. Monday is kind of my Friday, I think. That’s when I evaluate and strategize-I often have events on weekends. You are often advising to be a giver and I couldn’t agree more – I find if I keep my eyes open for ways I can be of service it comes back to me 10-fold (but the key is not to do it for that reason, if you give to get, you are not sincere and it shows.) The thing I work on is not getting bent out of shape when I realize someone is using me in this way – that’s not about me, that’s them and their issues.

Love this video, Ann! Such great thoughts. Like you, I take Fridays to reflect and focus on my successes and since I started this habit, it has made a huge impact on my overall productivity. Thank you for reminding us to check in and make sure we aren’t just doing busy work, but that we are doing work that moves us forward!

I dread Fridays because I try too hard to wrap things up to take the weekend off. The entire weekend usually doesn't pan out that way because I hate loose ends. Personally, I like Thursdays the best.
