Several weeks ago a discussion on one of my pages on facebook, Blogger Monday with Ann Evanston got me thinking. Fear is a feeling but it also creates a physical response, and the physical response can be similar to embarrassment, excitement, chemistry…
Maybe it isn’t fear we feel though? Maybe it’s another trigger that we REALLY need to listen to.
How do you make sure you are not discounting the FLAME as fear?

Social Media has dramatically changed how we can do business, because it has changed how our customers interact, make decisions and ultimately decide to buy. Not realizing this could hurt you not help you. I once heard Tim Ferris of The Four Hour Work Week speak and he said if you are not interacting online you just have no clue what’s being said about you or your business.
How many of you believe you run or work for a company that’s doing a pretty darn good job?
How many of you realize that ALL companies big and small make mistakes?
How many of you realize that sometimes a customer needs help?
Here is the thing though: Now more than ever customers are making their decisions ONLINE.
If you are not managing your business online, you are loosing opportunity. Just like these two companies did. Don’t be that company. What will you do differently to engage your customers online?

I recently wrote a blog about Purpose, Passion and Voice that raised an interesting question. This video will explain further:
Have many passions, live life passionately, but build a career, a business around a focused passion or an umbrella that will encompass those passions. Also, remember my earlier post about FOCUS. Once you take one passion, monetize it, and develop it to make money with little effort on your part, absolutely add the next passion to do the same!
Lastly, remember that some passions are just meant to be personal. Sometimes it’s just that you LOVE living life- I do! See, I love to exercise. I’ve even had people tell me I’d make a GREAT trainer (well I am a coach right?!), but working out is something I do for me.
How do you separate your personal and professional passions? Are you loving life and creating passion in your business? Are you creating a brand that allows you to bring different passions to life under the brand?

Focus everyday is one thing but I am thinking about a bigger, much more important type of focus. Do you know these people? Could you be one? I have a friend or two that I adore, but they are just like the Jamaicans in “In Living Color”. Remember in the 1990’s a TV show called In Living Color and they did these skits called “Hey Mon” (The Jamaicans, do you remember? The video of one is linked). That is the kind of focus I am talking about!
This is a great book about focus, can’t go wrong with Mark Victor Hansen right? I have decided to add it to my list again for getting my dang book done!
What are you going to do to re-focus effort into working yourself out of the job?

Nothing matters more to me than having a voice that aligns with what I am truly passionate about. I think people fall into all different ranges of understanding their passion, as I share in the video below:
Have you discovered your passion?
Where are you on this continuum I speak of?
What do you do to keep your passion alive everyday?
