On Being a Warrior-Preneur: Community

I have been writing about the traits and characteristics that great Warrior-Preneurs possess:
1- history
2- discipline
3- sexy

This week community:

I was honored to be a part, if even a small one, of this community created by a Warrior-Preneur that exemplifies this trait: Ted, @setla on Twitter. What he might not even realize, by including, not excluding, he created opportunity for more community to occur. I had the chance to meet a phenomenal group of people that I have been following on Twitter, and now we are connected – that’s community!

coemsThese were taken at the premiere event, where I met (left to right, first is me) Lori Moreno, Adriel Hampton, Dave Malby and Lori. As well as Jeanette Joy pictured below. I think social media is an amazing place to meet connect and grow – how are you creating community?

Ted, @setla – it makes me think if the group that has been working on drinking water – communities of people loving, supporting, volunteering, fundraiser – the opportunities are amazing! You are fabulous!

Ann you always inspire! I always enjoy connecting with people face to face and through the wires – hearing about who they are and how they are. Caring about people is an essential part of living for me.

Thanks for coming to the Chronicles of EMS tweet-up last week. I think the easy part is welcoming others in. The more difficult part – which you, Lori, Adriel, Dave and several others did last week – is accepting an invitation into a group that already has shared interests and connections. I was inspired by the act of risk taking to show up at a party and make the most of the possibilities. Bold move!

This was a truly amazing experience not because we made a TV Show, but the people that came together for this common cause. One of the most asked questions that came up was… What's next? We are planning a trip to Germany, Austria and Switzerland for the next upcoming episodes and are actively seeking sponsors for the trips. We are very excited to take our audience with us through the entire production.

I truely enjoyed meeting you, Lori Moreno, Adriel Hampton, Dave Malby and Jeanette Joy in person at #CoEMS. Your blog about the importance of community is right on! Now I'm looking forward to meeting more wonderful people I follow on twitter, connecting, and expanding my community. Kudos to @setla for making this community event possible and kudos to you Ann for creating awareness for others to benefit from.
