Some may wonder why I take the time once a week to select someone and promote their business on my blog. It’s actually very simple, I believe that without each of these people (and many others) I would not have the success I do. I believe they are amazing, hard working, GIVING people. I believe that when you recognize others, gifts return in your life.

This week I have selected someone dear to my heart. Andy is an amazing go-giver. We first met on Twitter and have gorwn in great respect for each other. Andy is worth gettign to know and haivng in your camp!

Say hi, find what you have in common, and connect! Thanks Andy, simply for who you are!

1- one thing that makes you – not your biz unique – My sense of humour…I like to keep conversations light and make people laugh.  It helps me bring out the best in them.
2 – who are your power partners (not clients) – My power partners are those within my “creative brain-trust”.  People who provide of course support to the mechanics of the services I provide such as audio, video and online production/distribution but also those who provide creative support for planning, communication, marketing, operations…they include people such as Tina Gladstone of Tina Gladstone Productions, Maria Kelenc of Creativepost Inc., Chris George of CG&A Communications and a list of friends and family too numerous to mention in one sentence.
3- links to your blog and biz website if different – Blog: http://donovangroup.blogspot.com – Web: www.donovangroup.ca

4- your favorite thing about running your own biz – Being THE decision maker when it comes to projects, suppliers and corporate direction.  With this comes the ability to say to a client re: solution –  “if it’s possible let me find a way to make it happen for you.”

5- what you do – I provide strategic advice or project coordination when it comes to video, audio or online production/distribution for a client’s communication program.  In addition, since multimedia lends itself nicely into special events I also provide coordination services for client events – whether an annual general meeting or awards gala and everything in between.
6- who would you most like to meet ( type of person) that would help you get to the next level – Someone who “gets” the entrepreneurial spirit…who understands the highs/lows, the challenges and rewards and someone who also lives the passion of their chosen field/craft.
